Christmas Walk

Many thanks to Alan Larsen who organised and prepared a great route through the City of London at night, taking in many landmarks and finishing up at a place where we could wine and dine.  However, Alan was not well enough to come out, the weather was awful, the needs of our group were many and varied and the pubs were crammed, so we curtailed the walking and shooting part of the evening, once we had trailed round trying to find a corner to huddle in over a glass or two - plus the customary bowl of chips. There were many photographic opportunities: the City lights, impressive buildings, the festive decorations, wonderful reflections in puddles and cobbled streets and the inebriated hordes postponing their return home to seasonal chores.

I look forward to seeing the images other participants put into the event gallery - I struggled with wet gloves, dripping nose and a desperate desire to get the bus home. But it was good to see those who came: let me take this opportunity to wish all our members and friends a Happy Christmas and a better 2019 than we might expect.
