Our Competitions Secretary, Dan Waller, will talk in a Bonus Tuesday Zoom about his direct experience of photography courses. There will be reference to providers such as the RPS, 36exp, Fuji House of Photography and CityLit, as well as individual tutors, including previous Society speakers Simon Ellingworth, Nigel Wilson & Michael Harding. Street Photography will be well represented in the course themes but also night photography, long exposure, wildlife, macro and working with models - so, something for everyone!

Debra Shaw presents an analysis of Visual Cultures with a focus on photography. Debra Benita Shaw is Reader in Cultural Theory in the School of Architecture and Visual Arts and a member of the Centre for Research into Social Change and Justice. She has over 20 years‘ experience of teaching in Arts & Humanities, Cultural Studies and related fields and is known internationally as a critical posthumanist interested in urban studies, feminism and science fiction criticism.

Former member Richard Eyers was a high flying executive in the oil sector; inspired by his time at City of London & Cripplegate, he embarked on an MA in photography and has gone onto a career in photography; in addition he now helps photographers publish books through Kickstarter. Richard will reveal all about his new found career.
